Amaro + Cheese

Amaro (Italian for “bitter”) is all the rage these days. Bitter digestives that were originally made by medieval monks and pharmacists as peasant medicine, but now the bartender's drink of choice. Amaro is the preservation of vegetables and herbs-- sometimes with artichokes, rhubarb, or blueberries. Their bitter quality makes them a match made in heaven for cheese.

Join Stephanie Webster, Certified Cheese Professional of The Rhined, and Liz Wolf, Amaro aficionado, as they team up for a fun and informative evening of cheese and amaro pairing. You’ll learn the history of both the spirit and cheese, how and why they pair, and leave with the knowledge to host your own amaro and cheese pairing at home!

5 amari + 5 cheeses
